Visa period
At least 90 days must be left on your visa to subscribe for KT mobile services.
Lines of Service
Each subscriber is allowed one (1) prepaid and one (1) postpaid line of service under his/her name.
- Depending on type of visa, up to two (3) postpaid lines of service may be allowed.
- Subscribers who are eligible for only one (1) postpaid line of service, may increase their allowance to two (2), with a security deposit.

Credit can topped-up online (via ARS), directly at a KT retailer, as well as periodically through an automatic top-off service.

Monthly charges can be paid though auto-debit via a Korean bank account or a Korean credit card. Registration of a third party's bank account can be done at a KT store, or through KT’s Global Call Center (080-448-0100).

Mobile phones are typically purchased in full with a one-time payment of the cost of the device.

Installment purchases are available for those who prefer not to pay the full cost of the device at once. For installment purchase eligibility, please see a KT representative. |
Service Limitations
- Failure to pay monthly charges may result in a suspension/termination of your subscription for KT services.
- In the case of prepaid services, your account may be suspended 30 days after the service period expires. Your service period can be extended by bringing your passport or Alien Registration Card to a KT store/official KT retailer or by calling our Global Call Center at (080-448-0100).

Changing or Cancelling Services
- In the event that you wish to change your phone number or other parts of your service, bring your phone with you to a KT store.
- Rate plans can be changed by visiting a KT store or by contacting KT’s Global Call Center at 080-448-0100 (toll-free from a KT mobile phone). Rate plans can only be changed once per month.
- Service cancelations must be carried out in person by visiting a KT store.
- In Korea, it is prohibited to use communication services under another person’s name. The registered account holder is always legally liable for all such usage. Please do not give or lend your mobile phone to another person, and make sure to cancel your service before leaving Korea.
Minors
- Minors (those under 19 years of age) wishing to subscribe to KT services or make changes to any services must visit a KT retailer with a legal representative and provide proof of identity with a government-issued document.
