Internet Premium Wide

  • An additional discount of 5,500 KRW/month will be applied to customers contracting for a year or longer.
  • The following fee for model retrieval will be applied if you unsubscribe during the contract period or switch to a package other than Internet SuperPremium/PremiumPlus/Premium/Premium WiFi or Internet Premium Wide.
  • If the Internet Premium Wide subscriber shortens the contract period, the following fee for model retrieval will be applied.
    • Calculation Formula for Modem Contract Term Shortening Fee: Interim return penalty for existing modem contract – Interim return penalty for new modem contract.

Dispatch cost

  • For new subscribers to Internet Wide
    Dispatch cost for installing internet service: 36,000 KRW/trip (including V.A.T.)
    • A dispatch cost of 36,000 KRW for internet installation will be charged when a KT engineer is dispatched to install or relocate internet service.
    • After February 20, 2023, an additional charge of 45,000 KRW is applied for dispatch during weekend, holidays and evening hours.
    • For the dispatch cost, 4,000 KRW discount is applied when the engineer is dispatched for both TV and internet and a 16,000 KRW discount from the second line when dispatched to install multiple internet lines. (For the same location under the same subscriber’s name on the same installation date only.)
  • For existing subscribers switching to Internet Wide
    Dispatch cost for installing WiFi: 29,000 KRW/trip (including V.A.T.)
    • The dispatch cost for installing WiFi service will be applied when switching from another package to Internet Wide.
    • The expense will not be charged if the subscriber is subscribing to Internet Wide when upgrading to Premium line or Essence/Basic Internet Package.
  • For the subscribers to Internet Premium Wide, a dispatch fee of 36,000 KRW/trip (including V.A.T.) will be applied for the retrieval of the modem in the following cases.
    • 1)Where the subscriber switched to Internet Premium Wide from another package and is switching to another package (other than Internet Premium line) again within 90 days after switching.
    • 2)Where a customer newly subscribed to Internet Premium Wide package and is switching to another package (other than Internet Premium line) within 90 days
  • The following dispatch fee will the applied when the new subscriber before February 20, 2023 changes installation location or changing package.
    • 1)Customers who subscribed before March 1, 2018
      • Change of installation location: 11,000 KRW (including V.A.T.) of relocation fee will be charged (relocation fee shall be exempted for customers who have subscribed for three years or longer. However, the fee shall be charged if cancelling the subscription within a year after the exemption.)
      • Where the customer subscribes to Internet Premium Wide as a new subscriber or switching to the package and switches to another package within 90 days: 22,000 KRW (including V.A.T.) of dispatch cost is applied
    • 2)Customers who subscribed between March 1, 2018 and February 20, 2023
      • Change of installation location: 27,500 KRW (including V.A.T.) of relocation fee will be charged (relocation fee shall be exempted for customers who have subscribed for three years or longer. However, the fee shall be charged if cancelling the subscription within a year after the exemption.)
      • Where the customer subscribes to Internet Premium Wide as a new subscriber or switching to the package and switches to another package within 90 days: 27,500 KRW (including V.A.T.) of dispatch cost is applied
  • From February 20, 2023, AS engineer dispatch fee of 15,000 KRW (including V.A.T.) will be charged when an engineer is dispatched for after sales service for reasons attributable to the customer.

Guide to using GiGA WiFi Buddy

How to Connect to Easy Mesh Wireless LAN
  • Once the Mesh setting is completed, search the wireless LAN from a wireless device (notebook, smartphone, etc.) and connect.
    • You must use the Mesh Wireless LAN name (KT_GiGA_Mesh_XXXX) configured in GiGA WiFi home ax (Basic WiFi).
  • When you connect with Mesh Wireless LAN name, your device will connect to GiGA WiFi home ax or GiGA WiFi Buddy automatically depending on the location of the wireless device you use. You do not need to change the wireless LAN name manually but enjoy WiFi conveniently.

  • You can check the internet connection based on the status of the LEDs on the front side.

Resetting GiGA WiFi Buddy when Relocating

Press the “WiFi Auto Set” button on the
GiGA WiFi Buddy and check if the WiFi LED is flickering.

Check the status of LEDs GIGA WiFi
Buddy in the following order

  • 1Check if the WiFi LED turns on.
  • 2Wait until the MESH LED turns on. (Approximately 40 seconds)
  • 3Check if the Internet LED turns on.

Subscription and precautions

  • The maximum speed may differ from the actual speed at which the service is provided depending on the communication equipment at the installation location and device.
  • There is no limit on data, but the speed will be limited to maximum 100Mbps for the day if usage exceeds 150GByte/day. (Use of IPTV and internet telephone is not counted.)
    • Internet Premium Wide: 250GByte, Internet Essence/Basic Wide: 150GByte
  • The service is provided at normal speed only when the PC LAN card, laptop network card, and other equipment support Internet Wide. (For Internet Premium Wide, you will need a separate gender if your PC or laptop does not support 2.5Gbps.)
  • If you are not using WiFi after switching to another package, you need to return the WiFi device. If you fail to return, damage, or lose the device you rented by reasons attributable to you, fees may be charged.
  • A penalty to retrieve the discounted amount will be applied when you are canceling during the contracted period or shortening the contracted period.
