  • If you fail to return the device you rented for reasons attributable to you, the following may be claimed for indemnification for loss.
    • Calculation of indemnification for loss: (60 months – number of months used) / 60 months X device price
    • Device price refers to the market price of the device at the time of loss. Market price refers to the price of the device with the same specification provided by KT
    • Even when the number of months used exceeds the number of months to which the rental can be charged, the period is counted up to 60 months.

  • Indemnification for loss will be claimed when device is lost.

Dispatch cost

  • 27,500 KRW charged per set-top box (V.A.T. included)
  • This is charged when a KT engineer is dispatched for the installation, modification, and relocation of IPTV.
  • 15,400 KRW will be charged per set-top box if the engineer is dispatched on the same location/date as KT internet.
  • 11,000 KRW will be charged for multiple line set-top boxes if the engineer is dispatched on the same location/date for multiple line IPTV.
  • If the subscriber is a recipient of basic pension, 50% discount is applied for the change of device within the house.

  • Benefits for subscribers to Genie TV Essence or higher packages are not offered for special packages such as business package.
  • KT-alpha shopping Discount Package is only available with Genie TV.
  • The contents-based discount plans such as Genie TV VOD Choice/Genie TV Kids-land Pack Choice/Save 25/Movie/Movie Plus cannot be switched to another plan within one month, and the subscriber cannot resubscribe to the same plan within 90 days after switching to another plan. (Same for Genie TV skylife)
  • 3,000 won’s worth premium contents offered to subscribers choosing Genie TV Kids-land Pack Choice for the first time.
  • You can enjoy UHD quality contents through UHD Exclusive Channel and UHD Channel.
  • UHD service is provided in stable quality when you subscribe for the internet package ensuring 100 Mbps or higher speed. Installation is limited in areas where stable internet quality is not guaranteed.
  • The number of set-top boxes available can be limited under unavoidable circumstances such as when the set-top box is out of stock.
  • Some smart may be can be limited depending on the set-top box model in use.
  • If you cancel subscription within the contract period, a penalty will be charged to retrieve the discounts according to the period of use. (See the section on retrieval of discount above)
  • All contents provided through the Genie TV service are protected by the Copyright Act. Unauthorized download, storage, viewing, reproduction, and distribution by subscribers are subject to penalty in accordance with related laws.
